Personal Data We Collect or Process

The Site captures some information about you automatically utilizing background local storage and session storage technologies (“Cookies”) in order to improve the user experience. Cookies are small files or other prices of data which are downloaded or stored on your computer or other device, that can be tied to information about your use of our Site (including certain third party services and features offered as part of our Site). Examples of information of this type are your IP address, the browser you are using, the operating system you are using and the pages on the Site that you visit. We may also collect information from publicly available sources.

We operate social media pages on third party networks and have social media icons and/or links on the Site. When you visit or link to our social media pages, data is processed both by us and the applicable social media provider. Social media providers are unaffiliated with us, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of social media providers.  Social media providers have their own terms of use and privacy policies, and we encourage you to review those policies whenever you visit their websites or interact with their platforms.

The Site also collects information that you provide to us voluntarily, including when you communicate with us via email or other means, when you request information about our services, when you engage us for services, and when you apply for a position with us. You may be asked to provide certain information about yourself including, without limitation, your name, physical address, e-mail address, phone number and payment card information (if you retain our services).

We use a third-party credit card processing company to assist us in providing you the services you request. We do not store sensitive payment data such as the entire credit card number and CVC. Rather, we pass the payment data to the third-party processor and receive back from them a token which does not contain the sensitive data. We do retain non-sensitive payment data used to identify a payment such as the last four digits of a card number and expiration date.

We also act as a service provider for third parties, including those that perform market research. In that role, we may collect information from individuals who agree (under a separate consent) to be market research participants. The topics range across consumer products, health conditions, lifestyle experiences, financial services, technology, electronics, travel, education and fashion to name a few. In such capacity, we may be asked to collect information about the following (without limitation):

  • Contact Data, including name, email address and phone number;

  • Information about your identity, including date of birth and gender;

  • Demographic information, including marital status, ethnicity, employment information (status, industry and title), income range, the state/county/province/country of your residence;

  • Family information, including whether you have children and their age range(s);

  • Health and health insurance information; and

  • Information about your use of technology.

When our clients conduct market research, we may come into contact with personal data that is collected by others but which we process in order to perform our contractual obligations to our clients. We do not knowingly collect information from users of our Site under the age of 18 and/or their internet usage, and such persons are not authorized to use the Site. If we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 18, we will take steps to remove that user's personal information from our databases. By using the Site, you are representing that you are at least 18 years old. You also represent, by accessing or using the Site, that you are of legal age to enter into legal agreements, or if you are not, that you have obtained your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to accept the terms in this Privacy Policy. From time to time we may come into contact with persons under the age of 18 as may be necessary in the performance of our contractual obligations. In such instances we take reasonable efforts to not collect or store any personally identifiable data of such persons, but rather de-identify and anonymize such data of persons under the age of 18.

We use the personal data we collect to respond to your inquiries, provide or enhance the services you request, perform our contractual obligations, including market research, provide updates and other important information related to your activity on the Site, inform you of new services or changes in services, administer the Site, to fill employment positions, to enter into contracts for services, to fulfill legal obligations we have to governmental authorities or other third parties, and for other legitimate business purposes. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any electronic marketing communications you may receive from us.
